Concerts

You will find the latest information about us on this page. Crewe Brass is constantly evolving and growing. We provide wide range of musical solutions from full blown concerts to a 10 piece ensemble for Corporate Events where the requirement is more for backing music, whatever you need, Crewe Brass can provide it.

We have recently put on concerts at the Lyceum Theatre, Bentley Motors and, of course, our annual Christmas Concert in the cathedral of South Cheshire, St Mary's Church in Nantwich. The Exhibition Hall at the Heritage Centre also gives us a fantastic, multi purpose venue to stage our own concerts, with parking as well as COVID compliant facilities throughout.

The band is pleased to announce that, in partnership with the Heritage Centre in Crewe, we have a new home from 2021 !

We will be moving into the Exhibition Hall as soon as we can in 2021. This is a huge step forward for band and will allow us to use this multi purpose venue both as a rehearsal facility and as a perfect venue for hosting concerts. Those of you who were with the first Normid 2000 Band will remember that, after starting rehearsals at Shavington High School we had our first home in the Coop Buildings in Mill Street (who can forget getting equipment up and down those stairs !!), we then moved to Bold Street in Sandbach and then back to the Camm Street Centre and for the past five years we’ve been at Shavington Primary School.

The COVID pandemic has hit the band hard, very hard, and as the current facilities, were no longer suitable under COVID regulations, in stepped the Heritage Centre. Crewe is famous for a number of things, Crewe Brass, Bentley, Crewe Alexandra and of course TRAINS and Crewe Brass are finally coming home and will shortly be the Heritage Centre’s very own band in residence.

Project Re-Start

Following the governments announcement last week and now there’s guidance from Brass Band England the committee have agreed a roadmap forward to rehearsing and moving to our new accommodation.

The committee has everyone safety at the forefront of its decision making and rest assured we will only be returning when it’s safe to do so, in line with the phased return outlined by the Government. We hope to be in our new band room as soon as we can and look forward to ustilising the Exhibition Hall and getting the band back to where it belongs.
